funnies

Since I'm on a roll (and Morgan decided to not nap today but is so tired that all she can do is watch Mickey Mouse and lean next to me) I thought I'd write out some funny things she is doing these days.

- she constantly is telling herself "thank you" when she does something like throw away her trash or make us a meal in her kitchen. She'll even say it if we had to ask her like a million times to do something and threaten the stairs (aka time out) - and she does her sign language with it.
- when both her and Owen wake up I always say "Oh I missed you while you were sleeping" (I really do...it's nuts you try to get them down for the nap and once they're down you wish they were awake again!) so now randomly she'll grab Owen's hand and say "miss you." Aww I love it!
- the other day she said I word I didn't understand so I asked her again and still didn't get it. She was not amused. I asked her to show me (she was eating in her high chair) so she just gave me a smurk and waited a full minute before saying "BUT-TER!!!" ok...I got it...the girl wanted more peanut butter. That smurk made me laugh so hard though b/c she was seriously annoyed I wasn't getting it!
- she has started to "hop" - she'll start by squatting down like a frog and say "ready, set, HOP!" and jump up one foot at a time. She is SO proud of herself when she does this!
- she has started telling her dolls/toys/the pups/occassionally us "No, uh-uh, don't" and puts her hands up in front of her. Ummm...pretty sure I taught her the hands in front of her thing for when she's "waiting" (we're working on patience and being polite...not using it for the opposite!)

Sadie

My mom and sister came to visit for Morgan's birthday, Owen's baptism and for the whole week after :) Annnnnnd...I got to meet my new neice Sadie! She's just precious and tiny and cuddly. She is only 1 month younger than Owen but she is seriously half his size...it's nuts! We took a couple fun pics of her in the park (once it warmed up b/c the first few days it was in the 40's...in May...in Texas!)

look at the difference!
they were "monkeying around" in their monkey outfits!
Morgan loves Sadie! They were wearing the same outfit but I couldn't get pics with Mo's face b/c she kept kissing Sadie :)

Easter

The kids got a small Easter basket each with an outfit and a book (and one chocolate bunny for Mo.) It was fun to watch her open it up and of course Owen just posed for the picture :)

After a very crowded, very hot but uplifting Easter mass we went to a park to take a few pics of the kids together. We got one or two good shots...in between keeping Morgan from getting into the pond or comforting Owen. Not the easiest to take pics of a rambunctous toddler and a newborn together!!

look at those bunny feet!

Oh he would sure hate it if he knew I was posting pictures like this but how cute is our little sumo wrestler???

2 years old

I have no idea how it happened so fast but our little baby girl is now a big, walking, talking 2 year old. Morgan is the most entertaining little girl ever - she is always coming up with something that makes us laugh! Here's a few "stats" on what our little one is up to these days:

- she is still around 23 lbs, size 4 diaper (ahem, Owen is in size 3..yikes!), size 5 shoe and her hair is well past her shoulders now!
- speaking of shoes..she loves them...like really loves them! At her birthday party she kept going back to the new shoes she got after opening up toys. She's ALL girl!
- she talks so well. She doesn't talk in "full sentences" just yet but she can pretty much tell us anything she wants to w/out any need to decipher what she's saying.
- she loves coloring, reading, playing in her dollhouse, playing with her baby dolls, racing cars, writing with chalk, bubbles and walks in the cemetary next door (what? it's safe in there! no cars!)
- she's super sweet and gives us all hugs and kisses all the time. There are some times where she is hugged/kissed out though and tells us "don't" though :( ha!

We had a fun (mostly adult) birthday party for her - Minnie Mouse themed :) She had alot of fun being the center of attention and eating her cupcakes. Thanks to all our amazing friends and family for coming (to a two year old's birthday party!) and for treating Morgan like the most special little girl in the world.

the adorable decor was by my friend Jenn at BellaGrey Designs..loved it!
