Happy events!

So this week we celebrated Father's Day with Morgan's awesome daddy! The bakery messed up his cookie cake so we got two :) I have a pic with him and the cakes on my camera..will update! Also my 31st bday was yesterday. Jarid send me this beautiful bouquet of flowers made to look like a cake! I love them!!! And since J was out of town my mother in law took me and Morgan our for a birthday dinner. I got tons of calls, texts, emails and cards...I'm a lucky lady with awesome friends and family! I LOVE this pic of Mo and me...she's such a cheeseball :)

This wknd we visited my college roomie Kelly and her 15 month old son, Ian. We had a great time! These are a few pics I got on my phone...more to follow :)

Photography Workshop

I was able to attend a photograph workshop this wknd! It was so much fun and I learned alot :) It was my first night away from Morgan which was hard but it went great for her and Daddy. They hung out with Sugar and Papa on Saturday and went out to dinner with Uncle Goodie.

During my photo workshop we did two photo shoots. One in the morning (with the challenge of morning light) with two adorable kiddos. Then another in the evening with a gorgeous teenager who swears she's never modeled before but she was absolutely a natural! I went with my friend Amber (of Golightly Images) and it was hosted by Taylor of Barefeet Creative Photography.

These are some of the untouched shots I took. I tried playing around with Jarid's photoshop after getting an extensive lesson on it at the wkshop but I got frustrated and will have to try again another day. But these came out just fine without photoshop (if I do say so myself ;)

We love spaghetti!!

We are still going slow with all the top allergens but this week Morgan tried spaghetti. Based on the pictures and her constant signing for "more" I'd say she was a fan! We always let her feed herself..even if this is the result :) Daddy put her right into the sink to wipe her down b/c she had spaghetti (and blueberries) ALLLLLL over her!

Memorial Day Wknd

For Memorial Day wknd Melissa, Ben and Addison came in town. Melissa and I have been friends since Elementary school and Ben and Jarid get along great. Addison is almost exactly 5 months older than Morgan. We all were not able to attend Melissa's cousin and my friend Alan's wedding so they came up to see us. We had a great time. Friday night we grilled fajitas and let the girls play together. Saturday ALL day we went out to Lake Ray Hubbard on the boat. Morgan and Addison did awesome - they both took a one hour nap on us and even though they hated their life vests at first, they got used to them quick. The both got to go swimming in the lake and all around we had a great time! Sunday we got lunch, went shopping and Mel and Ben headed home :( Next time we see them I'm sure the girls will have even more fun together!
