Clean teeth!

Morgan had her first dental visit yesterday. I know, I know it's a bit late but I'd heard so much conflicting advice on when to have the first one - as soon as the first teeth come through, at age 2, age 4. Anyways I put it off til the last one I'd heard about ;) Jarid took her and said she did great. They used kid words to help her understand what they were doing, had a big play section in the waiting area and they even painted her nails when they were done! She got to choose a toy on her way out and they took her picture and made a frame for her to keep. Can't beat a place that caters to kids like that and your 4 yr old doesn't even mind being there because of it! Whoo!

GOLDEN birthday girl

Today is Morgan's Golden birthday. Meaning she turns FOUR on the FOURTH of May. (Which also apparently is "Star Wars" day because all on on facebook I saw "May the Fourth be with you." ha.) So we celebrated with golden wrapped presents and some golden ballons. In the morning we sang happy birthday to her while she ate her sprinkled donut (her fave!) and then we all got set to head out to the zoo.

When we asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday she said she wanted to see the zebras at the zoo. So after being there...oh 20 minutes...she saw a girl with her face painted and decided THAT is what she *needed* for her birthday. Even while standing at the zebras she wanted to see she asked about it (they had the fur of a zebra and she asked the zoo keeper while touching it where the face paint place was!) Seriously she talked about it non-stop til we found a place. Ha. That girl gets her "wear ya down" skills from her daddy :) She chose an adorable heart face design and we couldn't believe she actually sat still for it (before she'd say she wanted one but then change her mind at the last minute.) We had a yummy picnic and a fun day as a family.

That night we went over a friend's house for an impromtu bbq. Morgan wanted to show off her face paint and our friend's were awesome enough to have us over. She had a great time playing with her BFF and she even got sang Happy Birthday to a second time for the day over some cupcakes. It was a really great day. Happy happy birthday sweet Morgan Clare. We love you!

She woke up to balloons and was SO excited to see them!

This would be her "but I don't want to wait for Owen to wake up to open this present" face!

FOUR!

I'd say Charli enjoyed her cupcake!

Happy birthday hugs from Kerry :)

Last night of three kids three and under

Today marks the last day of having 3 kids 3 yrs and under. We did it! Ha. 6 weeks almost exactly. Honestly it hasn't been that much different than having 2 (or 1 for that matter.) Yes, logistics change because you have 3 young people to care and of course nursing a newborn is a full time job alone. But for the most part it's all the same to us. We're back into our normal routine of play dates several times a week, preschool at home and the house is even clean by the the of each day. Obviously there are hard days but not anymore so than there were before. It helps that Peyton is just the sweetest little guy and that Morgan and Owen love him so much! Having kids close together definitely has it's advantages :)

Tomorrow little Miss Morgan turns 4. She of course is beyond excited to actually be FOUR! This girl is amazing and we are blessed to be her parents. She's just a ball of questions, energy and sweetness all rolled into one. She prefers that *I* answer her bazillion questions a day because even though Daddy obviously knows the answer she still wants to hear it from me too. She loves playing with Owen and might be ever so slightly bossy with him. He doesn't seem to mind and definitely believes the world revolves around his big sis. She is so talkative at playgrounds. It's hilarious. Jarid and I will just watch her and wait to see who she's going to pick to talk to. Usually it starts out "Hi! I'm Morgan and I'm 3." Mostly it's other kids she wants to play with but sometimes it's other moms too. She likes to introduce Owen as well which is very big sisterly of her. She likes to use the word "cool" now which is so funny to hear. She asks questions about her friends daily and when we're driving asks if all the other drivers are going to her friend's houses too. We get and give about 1000 hugs and kisses to this girl every day and wouldn't change a single thing about her!

Tonight is the last night our little Morgan will go to bed as a 3 yr old. Tomorrow she wakes up as a big 4 year old. 3 has been a fun year of playing, learning, growing, maturing and changes.
A few stats:
-She weighs 30 lbs, size 4t clothes, size 8 shoe.
-Her favorite things are "going to friend's houses", school, playing with Owen, facetime-ing with friends and family, baking and other typical 3 yr old things - puzzles, play dough, coloring, painting, ect.
-She dislikes being put to bed by anyone other than daddy, going to play grounds with no "other kids to play with", and being told no when she wants a "sweet treat" ;)

Morgan is one lucky little lady and has had presents trickling in the mail all week long. Thanks to everyone who sent something to celebrate her big day!

Here she is on her LAST night of being three with her super serious faces. Ha....onto the fours we go!

Biiiiiiig trucks!!

The city's public works department hosted Big Truck day where kids can come and sit on the construction trucks, police cars and semis. Let me tell you - this was a huge hit! We had a bunch of our friends from the play group with us and it was blast. They had hats for the kids and cookies & lemonaide. Pretty much can't get better than snacks, trucks, and friends!

The hat stayed on for most of the day ;)

How cute are these kids?

Owen kept saying "drive truck!!"
