Owen turns T-W-O!!!

This guy is just growing way too fast! I cannot believe my "baby" is two years old. I have to say that he is a much happier little guy now that he's "grown up" a bit though. He did NOT like not being able to keep up with sister - talking, walking, running, climbing, ect. He's a much bigger fan of all the talking he does these days - which is a LOT! The guy can pretty much tell you anything and everything in several word sentences. And we just love hearing him talk :) My faves are when he asks for something again b/c he just says the last syllable of "gen" and usually puts his finger up to show "one more time", he says "tickle me!" in the cutest voice ever, his okay is really dragged out into "ooooookkkkkay" (and esp if he's been told not to do something - he'll look down and say it - heart melt!), his "thank you" is so perky and cheerful it makes me smile everytime and hearing him say "sister!" all day is just too adorable.

Here's what else he's up to:

- Size 2t/3t depending on the clothes, size 7 shoe, size 5 diaper
- His favorite things are puzzles, coloring (which he calls drawing), cars and wrestling with daddy
- He mostly calls Morgan "sister" but when he does say Morgan he usually YELLS it. Ha.
- He loves reading a book before bed and helping pick it out - his fave is "Tuck Me In" where you can tuck in the animals. At the end we tickle them and he holds his breathe and pulls in his tummy to prepare for it! I love it :)
- He loooooves babies so I know he's going to love being a BIG brother!

There's sooo much more going on with him but I'll stop there. We had a fun time celebrating. My mom and sister and neice came up from Texas for it and we had a blast! We also had a play date weekday birthday party. He loved all the attention...except when it came time to sing. This little boy does NOT like candles! At first I thought he was upset someone else was in "his" seat but when we sang to him on his bday he did the same thing and was fine once the candle was blown out. At least he knows fire is dangerous! We just love this little kissable guy so much and can't imagine our lives without his always moving little self.

It rained on his actual birthday just as we were all packed up to head to DC so we stayed home, had a picnic lunch at home, made his cake and pizza together and just enjoyed being all together. The next day we headed out to Georgetown for lunch, cupcakes, watching the ducks, and seeing some sights.

*my friend Jenn at www.bellagreydesigns.com made all these adorable dino decorations for Owen. They turned out SO cute and made everything so fun!*

  1. That's hilarious about the candles! Jonah always tries to steal them- sometimes before they're blown out!
