Christmas cookie decorating party

Morgan had some friends from her play group over to decorate Christmas cookies and make some crafts. Well the kids basically just played with all the toys (so cute watching them make each other "food" in the kitchen, play in the dollhouse and swaddle up the baby dolls) while us moms cut out and decorated the cookies. It was so fun - I swear we should have that kind of playdate every week!

We were all still dealing with a cold (the doc confirmed we weren't still contagious) and I asked Mo several times that morning if she was sure she still wanted to have friends over. She kept saying "Yes! Now it's time for the cookie party??" or "They're coming over to my house, right?" She's a little hostess in the making! Just like mommy :)

getting the party started! Shana came to join in on the fun too :)

Why does Owen look like a toddler here??

Morgan's finished product!

Later during lunch I was getting my food ready and didn't realize the sprinkles were so close to her highchair. So, we have sprinkled nuggets. Yum.

I mean, at this point why bother trying to stop her? ha! She had a great time!

The perfect tree

Well it was disgusting, rainy and cold day in Dallas but it was a great day to get a Christmas tree. It didn't take long to find the perfect one :)

Kerry helped us pick the right one :)

Finished product...getting 2 kids to sit still is near impossible!

Christmas tree lighting

My brother Jeremy and his wife Sarah and my adorable 15 mo nephew came to visit. We didn't take too many pics b/c we were too busy hanging out and chatting (and um...taking care of three kids!) but we did go to the Christmas tree lighting in the Arts District. Lots of fun and we were even home around bedtime :)
