Bye bye

So Morgan found a pair of her BabyLegs (leggings) and put them over her pjs, grabbed her purse and hopped onto her Winnie the Pooh train. She started saying "Bye bye!" so I asked her where she was going she said "Eat!"... this little girl is so much like Jarid and me and loves going out to eat :) She's so adorable!

Valentine's day

I was lucky enough to find the man I was going to marry at 18. Jarid and I dated for about 8 yrs before he proposed (on Holy Week on the Katy Trail) and we were married a few months later. It's been 4.5 years and alot has happened since then. We built our first home together, raised a puppy Reagan and then another Maggie and had our first child together. Now we're close to having a second!

Jarid's my best friend. I honestly couldn't imagine my life without him (how could I...he's been a part of it for almost half already!!) and there are so many reasons I love him. Neither one of us are mushy-gushy people by any means but I figured once a year I could go out on a limb and show my sensitive side :)

He's an amazing husband. That means different things to different people but to me it means he's always there to support me. Whether it's something small and silly or big and important he's there to listen and offer solutions (he loves that part!) He makes me laugh. Like no one else. He's just a total goof purposely to make me giggle..and it works even when it's waaaaay too early in the morning for it!

He's the BEST father. I mean that. He knows our daughter just as well as I do and I never have to explain what she's saying or referring to...he just knows. We love laying in bed and just talking about what she's been doing or the way she says things ("pretz" for pretzels or "bilk" for milk or "meeease" for please) and he gets such a kick out it all. It's been amazing for me to watch him be a father - and it sure makes it easy because he is just so great at it!!

I love that the last date we went on he "borrowed" a rock from a serenity garden by the door to make me laugh when he held my hand later and there was a rock in his hand. I love that he kisses me right when he walks in the door from work. I love that he came up with our game for every holiday where we seperate in the same store and shop for a small gift for the other. I love that he looks at me with as much love at 9 months pregnant as he does when I'm at my "ideal weight." I love that he jokes about only being married when he's wearing his wedding ring :) I love the random text msgs throughout the day that just say "hey babe." And so many other things....

So there it is. My mushy post to let my husband know how much I love him...not only today on Valentine's Day but every single day...

On J's birthday this year

The cowboy ballerina and bedrest

Morgan helped pick out her outfit today and landed on a Minnie Mouse shirt, leggings, a pink tutu and her cowboy boots. I LOVE have a little girl! She looked so adorable and watching her navigate in her boots was hilarious :)

Well it looks like I'll be spending alot more time with Morgan and resting until the baby comes. My blood pressure has become a problem again my midwife put me on bedrest for the duration. We're looking at delivering at 38 weeks now so long as my pressures stay good with bedrest. Prayers for a healthy delivery and baby are definitely appreciated!!

Joy of Love

I have been trying to do this month long photo workshop through http://www.willettedesigns.com/. I can't remember which day this was but I want to say it was "What they love to do" and I thought taking pics of Morgan coloring was a perfect fit. This was on one of our snow days together :)

35 weeks and a big ol belly

Jarid took some pics of me and the baby at 35 wks during our snow day. My belly is definitely bigger than it was with Morgan! We're ready to meet this baby in a few weeks and find out if we're having a baby boy this time or another baby girl. And of course to find out if Morgan is having a sister or a brother. Either way..we're ready :)

Snow day!

Today was a true snow day!! The last 3 days we had plenty of cold weather, below zero wind chills and tons of undrivable ice. But today...it was SNOW!! It was so much fun to get Morgan out in it and she loved it. I swear the girl is not phased by the cold in the least and spent most of her time eating the snow. The dogs played in it too and loved eating at the ice and pawing in it. We were also able to finally get out of the house and met some of our friends at the mall for lunch and a chance to walk around. Ahhh!!! Who knew getting out was so important? All in all it was a great day and Morgan just loved having us BOTH home and playing in the snow or as she called it "NOOOOO!!!" with much excitement!!!

Brrrrrr

Brrr!! It's about 19 out but the windchill is 1!!!!! Yikes!!! I'm home today but Morgan was out of diapers and milk (obvious necessities that I planned to pick up during my lunch break today) so we walked to walmart after deciding it much safer than driving! Besides Jarid's flight being cancelled (boooooo) it's been a fun day of art projects, dollhouse playing, and puppy chasing!
